Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know some of you have tried a schedule where you do math on mondays, Science on Tuesdays, history on wednesdays, LA on thursdays, and fine arts on fridays, for example. I'm wondering how this has worked for you and, more importantly, do your kids retain the info from one week to the next?

Thanks!

Even more importantly does this suit your child's learning style?

I tried it once it drove me batty and the dc HATED it, but then see that is not their learning style. Interestingly I am in the midst of getting my dc to do the Mercy Academy Learning Style Test (absolutely brilliant btw) and for my oldest ds it is explained that he needs to do his subject matter in one month blocks. ie science, music and a idependent project for one month and alternate with History, grammar and composition the next. Which is similar with what we have learnt to do by trial and error.

But it really is an individual thing taking into account how you find it and how your children cope with it. I would be worried about the dis-jointedness of it, that was my reaction to it.
