I am looking for some ideas to teach at coop. Our coop has four 5 weeks session each year and each mother is required to teach at least once a year. So I am looking for ideas. I would probably be teaching in the Spring. It can be anything. I guess the main thing is that the topic has to be narrow enough that it can be covered in 5 weeks.

Last term, at group learning, we did a theme oif Inventors and Inventions. Each week had a different focus - one week on electricity, one on food ( eg breakfast cereals), one on clothing, one on transport, one on candy, one on toys. 
And so on. Group learning was a ten week thing.
This would be easy to do over five weeks, however - just pick a category to cover each week. We did the same topic but different levels and activities for the three age groups - little juniors, juniors, seniors.
We had a lot of fun - I taught stations on electricity and energy, lollipops, slinkys, boats.

What age range are you doing, Natalia?
I'm teaching a coop class right now. Our sessions are 6 weeks in length so about the same. The class I'm doing right now it for 4-5 year olds and it is a geography/cultures class. During each class we generally find the country on a map, color a flag for their notebook, talk about a saint from the country, read a picture book set there, listen to ethnic music, do a simple craft, and eat a traditonal food. It's been really fun. The countries we are doing are Japan, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, Botswana & Uganda, and Spain & Portugal. Next 6 weeks I'm doing it for the 6-8 year old group.
I've also done a pioneers class where we made butter, quilt blocks, a model of a covered wagon, soap, candles, laundry with a washboard, etc. The kids loved this one and the parents still comment on it.
I have lesson outlines for both classes if interested.

Natalia,
Our homeschool group has pulled together our first Co-op. We are into our 3rd of 7 weeks and it is going great.
We hold three classes all for grades 5 and up. The first is a literature class and we're reading King of the Golden City. CHC sells the book and there are lesson plans to go along with it. Our next class is a drama class. One of our moms majored in theatre and drama and is working with the kids. They each have a monologue to present at the end of the 7 weeks. Our last class is a music class. A wonderful gentleman from the parish is teaching the children Latin hymns along with some music theory. The kids will be singing what they've learned at a Mass around Christmas time.
It's going so well that we will most likely have another Co-op next semester.

I guess I should've been more specific. This is not a Catholic group so anything Catholic is out of the question.
Regarding the ages, they divide the group in three K-3rd, 3rd-5th and 6th and up. And I think they do some high school courses also but I am not sure. I could teach any group I want from those.
I was thinking in something history related or geography or some literature based study.
Mary, I would love to see the outlines for your classes- they are along the lines of what I was thinking about.
Hope to hear some more ideas,

Here are a bunch of classes I have taught or my kids have taken that might work for you:
Blood and Guts (doing the experiments each week)
Scrapbooking (working on photo albums with some - minimal - journaling in the scrapbook)
Drama
Writing (I'm teaching writing this year)
Music history or appreciation
Art history and/or appreciation
Physical Education (Playing indoor games like kick ball, etc.)
Sewing
Crafts
What about beginning Spanish, Natalia? Might anyone enjoy you working with their kids on that? We have that at our co-op taught by a mom who is Puerto Rican. Wow! We love having her do that. Her accent is flawless, naturally.

That is what I have thought but I don't think you can learn a lot of Spanish in five weeks. I might still do that and do it for the little ones and take them beyond Sesame Street and Dora the Explorer Spanish
