Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

OK. So we made our first real lapbooks. I cheated and bought the kit from Five in a Row for Katie No Pocket and added some stuff from Enchanted Learning. I made one lapbook for the 3 1/2 year old who needs some individual time. But I made a group one for the twin 7 yo and the 8 1/2 yo. I resolved the problem of duplicate things by having each child make a pocket to put their pictures in. But how do other people do it?

I have 3 in twenty months space and none of them are real art loving kids...thoughts or suggestions on how to do future lapbooking projects. I was overwhelmed printing everything in triplicate and even quadruplicate but I could not figure out how split up the work, since they are real close and then one 4 years later. Ideas...

I bought one of these hands of child projects to do and I just don't know how to go about it...

That's not cheating. It's lapbooking. We've made several lapbooks now, and I use a ton of Enchanted Learning stuff in mine. Just in case you haven't come across it yet, Homeschool Share has dozens of FREE LAPBOOKS you can print off.

As for duplicating projects, I'm not exactly sure...I'll be interested in hearing what others have to say on that one. I only have one that's really of lapbooking age, so I haven't run across this yet, but I'm sure I will in the future.

Blessings!

When we do a lapbook with a group of kids, I have each child do individual elements and add them to the lapbook and then have the child that made the element explain it to the other kids. (is that is clear as mud ) For example, I may have the older child do writing, and younger children do coloring- this seems to keep everyone interested and happy.

Holly, I have bought many of our lapbooking units, especially depending on the subject, but as Sarah said, Homeschool Share is a tremendous resource.

I wish you great lapbooking success!

I am not familiar with 'lapbppks', I don't think. If anyone has a moment, can you explain to me what they are??

Laura, I would define a lapbook as a place to organize and keep all the little projects you do pertaining in one subject. It is much simpler to look at one. We made a lapbook for our Blessed Mother.
We still add to this lapbook occasionally, others, like our Curious George we completed in about a week.

I think that they are a great addition to our other schoolwork.
