Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know there was a discussion on this book back in 2006 when this book came out. I am wondering how it is working for those who are are using it.

There is a lot that I like about this book. The thing we took away from this book was making Latin a priority in our curriculum. It is a personal thing with me though. I just really kept feeling tugged in the direction of Latin for our 3 boys who are currently taking an online course. Our daughter does do Latin but is very inclined towards French. I like to think of God's will in the decision making...our daughter just might do French as her primary foreign language. I will prayerfully consider...

I also like Drew Campbell's blog Runningriverlatinschool. I have not learned to link here but you can google it in I think.
Hope this helps a little:)

I read it about a year and 1/2 ago and it's been a process to become more Latin-Centered, which for me involved letting go of things like grammar, for instance. We have not really made the leap with Greek and I'm not sure we ever will. I find that math, Latin and writing with catechism, reading, history & science sprinkled in keeps us more than busy.

I also enjoy being part of the Latin Classical Ed yahoo group. It's a diverse group of people, secular & religious, who are attracted to CM, TJed, WTM, unschooling, etc. I was able to learn about all the different latin programs through the group and now we use Lively Latin which we love.

HTH!
