Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Does anyone know any good ones? I already posted this question somewhere else, but I thought I'd repost it on its own. Fourteen year old dd is eagerly scaning the forum for links to teen blogs.

Willa was kind enough to tell me about her daughter's blog, which I love, and the Chesterteens.

Any suggestions would be wonderful.

Thanks.

God Bless.

My daughter has not one but two blogs: The Bird and Umbrella and The Journals of Princess Ramona.

The first is -- well, she would say that it's kind of random. She posts jokes, books she likes, Shakespearean insults, and other flotsam and jetsam that she finds amusing. She's 13, so it's kind of a nice, rather innocent Catholic 13-year-old's take on what's funny and entertaining.

The second is a kind of diary-novel she's writing, which is also meant to be comic and entertaining. I haven't looked in on it in a while, but what I've read is pretty humorous in a "13-year-old looks at the world" kind of way. In her writing she tends towards the smart-alecky voice, though she's not really that way in person . . . goofy and offbeat, yes . . . and she gave herself the screen name "The Pirate Queen," which does not immediately suggest somebody whose hero is St. Gerard Majella and whose favorite book is The Story of a Soul.

She would LOVE some blog traffic. I have of course been kind of reluctant for her to have ANY traffic beyond her brother and a couple of friends whom I know, but I feel pretty comfortable giving out her links in this context. I know she'd love more readers, especially if they leave comments!

Pax,

Sally

Thank you so much! Sounds like my kind of girl!

I don't have a blog yet, but I can't wait till I do. I know what you mean about traffic. I would only be able to give it out to two friends and my mom at the most.

Thank you again.

P.S. What is your daughter's name, if you don't mind me asking? Is it Ramona?

Grace

Hi Grace --

Her name is Ada. She's posted some on the Facebook teen site connected with this one, though she's been too busy to do much posting lately. "Ramona" is just the character she's writing about -- that blog is like a novel, total fiction and fantasy (yeah, she WISHES she lived in a castle and had to sneak her friends into her princess sister's wedding . . . )

Anyway, she would love a visit!

Thank you, thank you!!!!

(Grace, again.)

I was browsing in Hidden Treasures and clicked on this forum again, only to see I had another reply. Lovely!

I was just about to post a new topic asking what happened to the teen forum! It seems to have dismantled just a few months ago, before my mom joined. At least, that's what I think. I'm not sure. Does anyone know what happened?

Where can I post this so that the people who know can see it?

Ave Maria!

Pax,
Grace

Grace,
How's the blog coming?
Do you need me to stop by? I might be heading your way this week.

Thank you, Mrs. Smith! How's Nicholas?

We can't wait to came back and visit you all. I know Michael and John would love to see the boys again. We all would.

Thank you, Mrs.Gibson. I'm afraid I haven't started my blog yet. I changed my mind about which one to use. I'm trying to figure that out at the moment. Thank you again for all your suggestions.

Pax,
Grace
