Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello there!
I am really taken with the idea of seasonal learning..it fits so well with us
So, I thought i would have a go at making a Seasons Scrapbook with the girls.
Has anyone else done something similar? I was thinking along the lines of a picture book with our own photos...maybe a mini book for each season...no words, or maybe one, two words per page...a few stickers..just mat the photos on coloured paper to match the season...
forgive me if this has been discussed before..I am very new to this forum.
All thoughts appreciated

Mybe this would be an idea for your book:
On the 8th of each month, for one year, I stood at my back door and took a picture of our view. I used a disposable camera and wrote the dates on it as I went, so when I was ready to have it developed all I had to do was copy the dates on a scrap of paper. It was amazing to see how drastic the changes were some months! I have put them together to remember our farm, now that we have moved so far away.

Just an idea...

We chose a special tree and photographed and sketched it for an entire year, noting the changes from month to month.

A picture of each of your children in their favorite seasonal outfits would be fun!

How about food from each season, either fresh or already prepared. Take pictures of your dinner table at holidays and other special days.

What great ideas!

If you want to incorporate nature, you could draw (or take) pictures of the plants/animals(birds,..?)/insects(butterflies,...) that seem to be most prevalent in each season. Nature coloring pages would work too. I think that leaf and bark rubbings in the fall, and paper snowflakes for winter would be fun additions. Maybe pressed flower petals in the spring and summer?
