Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

my 4yr old dd adores dogs, so, together we made a 'dog book'. we made our own hard back book, which is covered with fabric with lots of pictures of dogs. I have printed off colouring pages & dot to dots & such, & she has put lots of photos of our own dog & friends dogs. What else can we do? How can i encourage this without it all going over her head? (if an activity is too advanced i end up doing it all, which defeats the pirpose of the excercise!)
Thankyou!
Lynn

Maybe have her-
- freehand draw a dog...
-label the parts of a dog (with her own handwriting or else glueing word slips by the appropriate spots)
-use brown strips of paper to "build" a kennel
-learn a poem that mentions dogs
-sort pictures of dog characteristics such as Long hair vs. short hair dogs, dogs by color or size...

I don't know too much about dogs but I just wanted to wave hello to a fellow Brit! Welcome!

Lynn
could you print off two sets of different breeds of dogs, laminate them and have her 'pair' them?

I've seen recipes online to make home-made doggie biscuits.

Hi Lynn,

This is a great opportunity to write one-two words under a picture. Great schooling accomplished when you are following their interests. You can do math with dog toys or pictures. Copywork is fun when they are following what they love.

I made homemade index cards for my little ones to read following their interests and homelife. It was such a treasure to read them and to look back at them with fond memories.

Have fun!
