Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am constantly printing out information on different subjects. For instance, if I like the way another mom is doing a subject or craft, I will print it out. So, now, I have this abundance of papers. I know there are many others out there with this very same "disability".
How do you organize. Do you have a notebook for each subject? Do you put everything in one HUGE notebook with dividers? I have overwhelmed myself and now I am at a loss as to how to organize it in a way that I can get my hands on it if I need to. I could have a notebook just with all of Dawn's ideas!!!

I've really tried to consolidate - organizing everything on the computer and only printing out what we'll actually use in the near future - NOT a perfect system.

I did however finally set up binders for each subject (some subjects are combined into one binder with dividers). At the front of each section is a list of activities included (just handwritten) in the order it's in the section.

It's still not perfect, but it's easy to work with. Previous to this, I had file folders for each subject, but they just weren't holding up for this particular function (they work great for organizing other areas of my life).

I used to have a great big binder but it was so bulky, even before it got filled, that I dreaded using it. Now I have a binder for each of about six subjects (also subdivided), one for records, and one especially for coloring pages.

I set up a file system like Dawn's this year. I put anything seasonal in those folders. Then I have a binder for general Montessori stuff that I print out. And I have another binder for general homeschool stuff, organizational ideas, etc. I read blogs using Google Reader, and if I like a blog post, I star it and Reader saves it for me. Then if I decide I'd like to have a hard copy, I can go back and print it out.

Like you said, if I printed out *everything* I saw online that I liked, I'd be drowning in paper!! So I do tend to keep a lot of things filed electronically, using Google Reader and bookmarks. (The good thing about Dawn's stuff is that it's all nicely categorized on her site, which stores it for me! )
