Being pretty new still to the CM/Real Learning way and having perused many of your LOVELY blogs...I have seen/heard mention that some of you use certain books that help you to plan for living the liturgical year or nature study/Science...etc...
I don't mean actual curriculum or Teacher's Manuals. I am (As most of us probably are) in the process of planning for next year and trying desperately to incorporate more Liturgical Living and Nature Study as well as Art and Music study/appreciation.
So please share, what books do you rely on to help you plan? Thanks, in advance for any advice!  God bless you all!

Elizabeth's book, Catholic Mosaic, Mrs. Sharp's, A Year with God, both of Edith Holden's books, Designing Your Own Curriculum, just to name a few!

Thank you for the response! I appreciate it! I do have Real Learning, Catholic Mosaic and Mrs. Sharp's already! Those are actually the very books that lead me to this style! Thank you Author's!!!

I use "A Continual Feast" a lot - info and recipes to celebrate the liturgical year. I actually check it each month for ideas....

I'm not Catholic but I have heard Dawn, mention this book often and have enjoyed reading about the things they do. Seems like it would be a good resource.

All Year Round is Waldorf and not Catholic. It's got a nice, rhythmic feel to it. But it's not a liturgical year guide at all.

I guess that is why I like Birge's "A Continual Feast" - the recipes and readings celebtrate the liturgcal year.
We have also used, off and on, "Doing the Days" - journal and activity ideas, day by day, with dates to remember. So, each date has something that happened on that day, a description, journal/projects/arts and craft ideas. In the past, this has helped me plan ( or discover!) rabbit trails...

i second all the above!
also not a book but i wouldnt make it with out my liturgical calendars...I have a big wheel on the wall and a desk size blotter type one on the front of the fridge for keeping track of feasts.
i love re-reading around the year with the trapp family too.
as far as nature study i always feel inspired by Pocket- ful of pinecones

Wow, I knew I would find a wealth of information in you ladies! Thanks! I ordered All Year Round, I wasn't aware that it was Waldorf ( I know very little about Waldorf anyway) so will it still be a good guide or inspiring in the way of ideas for feasts? Or is it Anti-Catholic?
Where do you find the best liturgical calendars?
