Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Have any of you heard of this program? I was at the baptism of my newest nephew this weekend and learned that two of my brothers have children involved with this in two different states, one through their public school and one through their Catholic school. It is also open to homeschoolers.

My sister-in-law was describing a recent tournament that her son was in and she helped judge. It sounded fascinating and like a ton of fun. My twelve year old was listening and was very intrigued. Teams compete in activities that involve creativity, critical thinking, math, drama, and improvisation.

Anyone able to comment on DI from personal experience?

No personal experience -- my cousin's kids participated in it recently and loved it. But it wasn't around when I was teaching (or at least I didn't hear of it!)
