My ds' favourite at the moment is 'The Little Red Caboose'. The entire family knows it off by heart now.
BTW Suzanne would you highly/ vaguely recommend Peak with Books?

We have a lot of the same favorites as already mentioned. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is the current favorite that the older kids read to my 2yo. Books that have been worn out (taped, replaced) by my girls were:
Goodnight Moon
The Big Red Barn
Jamberry
Brown Bear, Brown Bear...
My boys love:
The Carrot Seed
Byron Barton books (Boats, Trains, Planes, Trucks)
The Mixed-Up Chameleon
A Color of His Own (which got us reading other books by Leo Lionni - my 4yo ds loves them)
Everyone loves:
Jane Simmons "Daisy" books
"Child's Play" classic books with holes: "Down by the Station", "The Wheels on the Bus", "There was an old lady..."

I have another one to add:
Ten Red Apples...because EVERY child loved to hear their daddy say "fiddle-dee-dee!"

The ones my 2 yo can't get enough of:
Goodnight Moon
Big Red Barn
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom
Owl Babies
The Little Train (Lois Lenski)
I am pretty sure I can recite most of them from memory! The Little Train was just replaced at Christmas (not bad since 2yo is boy #3) and Chicka Chicka is due for replacement very soon.....
