Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We have headed off on a "down on the farm" theme with my littles this week. I have discovered the cutest books Mrs Wishy Washy ).

"True to her name, the woman loves to wash everything, including her farm creatures. Tired of the "old tin tub/where all the animals go for a scrub," Mrs. Wishy-Washy's pig, cow, and duck rebel and run off to a big city, but they find it "as wild as a farm stampede." They stumble into lots of trouble and end up, dirty and tearful, in the "animal jail" from which they are soon rescued. Fuller's bold, animated watercolor-and-ink illustrations feature humorous expressions on stout, rosy-cheeked humans and silly animals. This gently rhyming text with just the right amount of tension will be a splendid choice for storytimes and welcomed by beginning readers." from a review by Lee Bock

These books are all so cute, my 2 and 3 year olds keep asking for them over and over again. Now I need to think of some activities to do involving these books.

Mrs. Wishy Washy is GREAT! Thanks, Joann! It is the new favorite for my 3yo. She adores it and reads it to the 1yo ALL DAY, EVERY day!

Of course, the picture with the pig's bum, always gets giggles.    And, we have a new term for washing in the bathtub. Wishy-washy, wishy-washy!

It's such a hit, I'm going to add it to the Favorite Toddler Books thread.
