I also started a new blog and will join the webring soon, when I get it all figured out with Lissa. She has just a little bit on her plate right now!
I feel like a blog debut is like the first day of school  when you felt like everyone "knew the ropes" but you, and everyone was staring at you!

Your not kidding! There are so many well established blogs, beautifully written, rich in homeschooling and family life type of blogs here.
Kevin just got our DSL back and set up a blog for me. Here is my first blogging effort.

Is anyone having any trouble with the links on their blog that use typepad? I can't seem to get them to work right all of a sudden...I don't see anything listed about this...?? As I look at the code, it is putting my blog address in front of the address I want the link to go to. I tried to redo it, but as I publish it, it gets scrambled again....any hints?

Ok...I think it fixed itself...am I the only one who has been having strange problems latey?? I mean with my blog ....

Donna Marie, I haven't had any (knock on wood) but I know Meredith has had trouble.
The only thing was yesterday my stats were unavailable for a while.

I have had trouble with mine, Donna Marie. My stats are rarely available and I am not able to change the order in my sidebars. I can change the content but not the ordering. I eliminated my booklists on A Gypsy Caravan because they were all outdated. I wanted to rearrange the sidebars but I was not able to. I contacted Typepad but they said there doesn't seem to be anything wrong that they can tell.
I did clear my cache the other night and that seemed to help temporarily (for one evening) but now it is doing it again.

Thanks, Julia. Can you tell me if the links you had trouble with were in posts or on the sidebars?
I wonder what is going on with Typepad???
ETA - I don't know if this makes any difference, it might just be my computer, but one thing I noticed is I would wait for a new link to open and then find it had turned one of my other open windows over to the new link. So instead of a pop up link, it became a converted window link. Does that make any sense?

I have had my blog for 3 whole days and each day some strange thing happens to it. A photo disappears or something. Right now, the only thing that shows up is the text. The template seems to be gone. I looked at it in two different browsers.
Ya, I think they might be having a problem.

I just had a similar experience as Mary Ellen at your blog, Bridget --- I think I tried to go to one of your posts and it turned into text only, too.
On Thursday morning there seemed to be a big backlog at Typepad. It was incredibly slow. The stats were down for a while, too. The only trouble I've had with Typepad is that I had to choose the background/color scheme that I'm currently using for my main blog because it was the only one that appeared normal, with the sidebars and everything as I wanted it to be. Now that I think of it, maybe that would work for some of you having trouble with such things. Maybe you could try changing your color scheme and see if that works?
