Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

WORKING- Teaching Textbooks Precalculus for ds16, Right Start math for ds10 and dd 8
Apologia Zoology swimming creatures for youngers - we add in living books, DVDs and do our labs along with 2 other families on alternate Fridays, and do nature study on the other Fridays
American Govt for oldest using 5000 year leap and The making of America study guide - excellent for both of us!
Didache Understanding Scripture for oldest - it's dry but thorough I guess
Loyola Press Exercises in English for youngers (basic grammer - I plan on starting IEW's first level for writing for them next month)
Barton Reading and Spelling system - super super super - it's really for dyslexic ds10 but I use it for dd8 also and it has improved both their reading and spelling abilities tremendously.
Poetry memorization for youngers

SO-SO
Winter Promise American Story for youngers for history - sort of like Sonlight with more crafts. I like parts of it but need to be more consistent with it.
WP's Human Body/Forensics course for ds16 in lieu of "real science" this year. I guess it's OK for a basic overview of anatomy and physiology, which is what i wanted, but it's SO Creationist I almost gag reading it. (worse than Apologia if you can imagine that)

NOT WORKING - DROPPING

MODG's 3rd grade religion - I picked this based on using the Baltimore catechism and making a Bible story notebook but the Bible they use is too formal for my kids and they aren't good at narrating either so we switched Bibles but still tend to let it slide, and the drilling of the catechism just isn't doing it either.

ADDITIONS
Ds16 will be taking a class at the local cc this semester - either chemistry (there's his 'real science' or English, depending on what's available when he gets through testing/advisement this week. I'm anxious for him to take the English b/c he's resisted all my efforts at improving his composition writing (Bravewriter, IEW, etc) and thinks I am too demanding - I think he is in for a surprise.
