Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm watching them... but I wont bid on them if you want them. I just got them all in on ILL and I can read those and then bid on another auction at a later time.

Has the discussion begun?

I can't make a long post now, but on the very first page of Volume Six, the Synopsis, I was reminded of the Catholic psychologist, Dr. Conrad Baars...

Maybe more later

Why don't I start another thread and we can toss around the ideas in the Introduction. If interested members are still waiting for their books then they can jump in whenever and not miss anything.

I just picked up my book from the library last evening. I'll have to find some time today to hide away and start reading!

Don't forget that it is available online too, if your waiting on ILL or a shipment, reading a chapter or two here just to keep up with the conversation might not be too bad! Volume 6 at Ambleside and volume 6 through Mater Amabilis.

I am still waiting for my books, but I can read them online until I get them.

I'm confused -- what book are we starting with? And when?

Paula, I think it is Volume 6 on Monday. There will be a new thread set up probably saying CM Volume 6, Intro or something along those lines.

At least that is what I'll look for and am prepping for!

More coffee, please!

And can I make a suggestion? Maybe have it set up as it's own forum?

Sorry, I went ahead and posted the Intro thread when I really ought to have talked to Janette and Elizabeth and Mary G first to see how best to do this. I have been trying to shorten my internet time during the day and I guess I cut the thinking process too short too.

Maybe it would be best to just continue this thread on here and then start the discussion proper on Monday when we've decided how to do it.   Again, I apologize for being so scattered!

I think you had better pass me the coffee too, especially if you're having Jennifer's "Two cups ground 15 seconds before brewing super strong with frothed half and half and sugar in the raw."

Willa, don't apologize! I love your enthusiasm and desire to jump right in! I personally think you and Helen have picked a great starting point. And one of the nice technical aspects of the forum is that threads can be so easily moved.

So... I moved the thread that Willa started (with Helen's quote) over to the Book Club Forum. I've renamed it CM Vol. 6 discussion - Introduction. I believe we start on Monday, which is good since I have yet to pull the book off my shelf!      I'm excited about beginning, though.
