four children
ds14-9th grade (Although he loves math and is finishing up Algebra 2 right now.)
ds13-8th grade
dd10-5th grade (Although she was such a late reader due to eye tracking problems a lot of her reading is at the 3rd/4th grade level)
ds6-1st/2nd grade (He is suppose to be in first, but he so bugged me about wanting to "do school" that I got him the books when he was four thinking he would do a couple of pages every now and then and he just finished them.)
And that is what I love about homeschooling. I have a hard time telling you what "grade" my children are in, but I know exactly what my children can do even without a standardized test.

I am currently semi-officially teaching 4 children ( one of the 4 does not have to be recorded for the state yet so I have less paperwork on him - a one year reprieve!)
14 yo 9th grade
12 yo 6th grade (plus vision therapy)
9 yo 4th grade (does the same science as his older brother but cannot really combine them)
6 yo K/1st grade (I work with him - not quite every day and it is short and low pressure since the state doesn't need any records for him yet) He is also in vision therapy but mostly corrected and begging to read.
4 yo - not sure whether to count him or not. I don't officially plan anything - but I have to carve out time for story hours and craft time. He wants school because he wants to be just like his older brothers. Generally I can make him happy with read alouds - but sometimes he demands that I show him how to write stuff like his name or help with get-well notes and letters. He joins in on most projects.
Last year I taught 5 but only reported for 4 and very sporadic with the then 5 yo since we did mostly vision and just enough "school" to keep him happy (started more into the second half of the year when we had eye skills well enough along). I also had all that panic of making sure our transcripts were in line, college visits and dd had college applications, SATs and all that stuff. Because of that we had to be more on a deadline - couldn't drag out the year since she had to send final transcripts - but somehow we made it.

I am "teaching":
- Joe - 17 - 12th grade (but he's working more than schooling so he can go to LSU next year)
- Cate - 15 - 10th (she's doing this more on her own than with me)
- Thomas - 7 - 2nd grade
- Maggie - 6 - 1st grade
- John-Paul (3.5 going on 35) -- sure that he is doing school too
We're very relaxed here -- especially with the younger ones....

My 7th grade daughter does MODG on her own.
I teach second grade to four other children.
The seven and eight year old are working on second grade. While my five year old sits in on second grade and does her best. My 10 year old is reinforcing basics with the second grade work and then is supposed to be working on fourth grade.
My two year old makes a big mess.

2 school age:
almost 13 yo
a 10 yo
Also have a 4 yo ... I don't do formal preschool -- just lots of books, hands-on, painting, and letting her join in fun stuff I do with "my girls" as she calls them.

I'm down to four school aged children now - and three homeschool grads.
Four different grade levels - but we don't really do grade levels - thats just for the Education Dept/state regs.

3 children.
Officially...
9 yo about to turn 10 -- 4th gr.
7 yo -- 2nd gr.
But really the only subject they do separately is math. And the 9 yo reads at a higher level. But most of our "school" involves reading aloud to the entire family.
Then...
3.5 yo -- preK (not very formally)
But see above. He's included in the read-aloud time, does art projects with us, and some Montessori activities. So I guess it's ok to count him in the school count.
The 1 yo twins are too little for school; they just climb all over me while I read and make sure we have LOTS to pick up.
