Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Another item we use a LOT is a camera. I take pictures of the children's projects and put them in notebooks, files, lapbooks, even their school records. This is particularly helpful with those big bulky projects your children will do and hate to part with (but fill up your house...). I originally had a Polaroid-which I still have, and believe it or not, still use! But I've gotten more "sophisticated" recently when dh gave me a digital camera and I can develop the pics at home, label and file right away. Either way, a camera is a hugely helpful homeschooling resource!

A camera is a great idea, Kelly. My dh just bought the tiniest Scanner I've ever seen, we are considering scanning all papers that will slide through it and keeping Marianna's school year on 1 disc rather than in a binder. Pictures would store well on that disc as well. (especially for those items that are bulky as you said)

Rosaries, so that your friend and her dear children can pray daily for their generous benefactor. Oh, if only more homeschooling families could be blessed by such generosity! The Lord has provided so wondrously for this young family...may their homeschooling journey continue to be richly blessed.

Many thanks to you all on behalf of my friend. She was very humbled and awed at your wonderful suggestions. It looks like she will certainly be ordering many resources for herself (Real Learning, Educating the Wholehearted Child and others) She will also be ordering Cay's Mosaic along with many of the picture book titles therein, and items from CHC.   She's also in the process of looking at reference materials, and schoolroom furnishings (tables, chairs, globes etc.) What a lovely list she can come back to for reference in the future..
Thanks, again!

As for me, I'm off to order Fr.Corapi's talk for homeschoolers for myself!
