Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Lindsay, we're going to move the pages we make this summer into a separate notebook of its own... I *think*... in the Fall. OR keep doing it the way I do notebooks and then just pull them all into one notebook for a finished product?

The kids love this so far. And we just use whatever books we have to supplement. So far it's been very fun. I'll keep you updated.

Do you have an update, Maryan? How do you and your boys like the program? I am putting our notebooks together soon. Though, I don't have the option of moving the pages easily (spiral bound vs. proclick), so I'm thinking a separate SCIDAT notebook will be in order.

We love it. It's a goofy story with intrigue so perfect for summer and it peaks their interest. After we've read 1/2 a chapter, then they just pour over the various books and encyclopedias that cover that animal. They've been filling in their notebooks faithfully, and using Ed Emberly's little Drawing Animal books to help those who are younger to draw the Elephant, Lion, etc. We're only in Ch. 3 because the kids had camp, but they request it.

Again her booklist and what I have and what my library has doesn't match up other than the Encyclopedias that she references. But I just put what books we have in a basket and the boys go at it. We also do the Geo Puzzle animals of the world with it.
