Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh, Becky, you're right there with me, aren't you?

LOL... I can't help but laugh a little. It's a mother's thorn perhaps, though not all seem to have it.

Just do it..lol. ughh

LOTS of great advice here.

A lot of it I already do.

Two things of particular emphasis for us:

--simple tasks get done on routine - no exceptions:
-wake up and deal with bedding;
-teeth and hair dealt with before going to bed
-dishes done immediately after dinner
-if nothing else gets done, the daily stuff gets done (prayer, piano, tae-kwon-do, speech practice for my son)
-as soon as we come home, everything we've brought inside is immediately put away.

(sort of related)
--keep it clean
-using the bathroom? is there something to clean up in there?
-washing hands? does the mirror need to be wiped down? the counters?
-basically always look for something that takes less than 5 seconds to make a place better than it was before you entered; and always-always-always put your stuff away when you're done.

Doing that much, keeps the home organized enough that the rest more easily comes together (at least for me).
