Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

So, has anyone sent a kid back to school after CM??

Yes. My 15 yr. old son in 10th grade Catholic school was CM homeschooled until 9th grade (he wanted to play sports and this was the best option). He was ahead in most all subjects when he started and he is doing very well. He is a bit bored if anything. His biggest complaint the first week of school was the inordinate amount of time that is wasted. Sadly though he's gotten used to it.

Krystin, when we started hs four years ago my dh and I told ourselves we would allow our children to choose regular high school to pursue such things as sports and subjects we could not cover.

Seeing as we have four boys this is still an option (for the sports ofcourse), but I can tell you that we can see how we can provide a better education and atmosphere and hope that they choose to continue at home.

My oldest dd only in 5th grade has mentioned how she loves being able to read so many great books and doesn't think that would be the case in school (she is part of a local public school Girl Scout troop, thus has a base for comparisons). She is certainly more academically prepared and more mature when compared to the average girl at this school.

I would enjoy and prepare your kids for what ever our Lord decides is best for your family.
