Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Being able to recognize parts of speech helps in learning a foreign language. When I took German, I'd have been in trouble if I couldn't recognize a direct object, and be able to use the correct endings in the appropriate parts of speech. Then again, if I had not had a good grounding in grammar, I would certainly have learned it while learning German.

I've been mulling it around in my brain and did some observations this morning. It's a sporatic observance, but here it is.

And I am pinpointing the problem down to it being Springtime.

We took a nature walk and went to the park yesterday. I'm calling the troops and hitting the outdoors again this afternoon.

Don't ask me what we'll be learning. I do know it won't be anything out of a workbook.

Oh...I'm trying not to be envious here...we are soooo longing for Springtime and CAN'T WAIT to be outside! There is still about 3 feet of wet, heavy snow in our yard, and it snowed really hard the last 2 days. But I do hear the sound of drip, drip, drip...music to my ears!
