Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Jen, do you use the workbooks with the Little Angel Readers or just the readers?

My boys are really liking Explode the Code, which you also list, but it seems like two workbooks might be overkill, but then, I've never seen the Little Angel workbooks.

Would you need the teacher's manual?

I really only use the readers for the Little Angel Series - though I do have the workbooks and if the kids ask, we pull them out, but it's never required. Mostly, I just show them a sentence or a word and let them do their own copywork.

I've never used Explode the Code before, but I tried it out online with my little fella and he really enjoyed it...so I'm considering it.

I don't plan on using either of the workbooks for either series. We use the movable alphabet with the pink/blue/green series words, and a dry erase board for copywork.

You've already gotten lots of great suggestions!   I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but it's really easy in the elementary grades to condense the book work into four days instead of five.   This would give you Fridays - for example - to have fun with your children.    It doesn't even have to necessarily be something organized.   If you're able - go on a field trip.   If not - have a picnic outside and go to a playground.   Play games - if they keep score, they're reinforcing their math facts.

Seton gives more flexibility than is obvious from reading the lesson plans.   As was mentioned, for accreditation they have to include 180 days of instruction and spell everything out.   Schools do the same thing, but each individual day is left up to the teacher - they make changes too.   Think of it as a fail safe.   When you have days that give you little time to get creative, their learning won't be dropped.   They can do the work in the books and keep on "schedule".   And on other days, when you feel up to doing more hands on and creative projects - go for it!
