Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We do formal studies but less subjects, and the girls are doing their studies individually (during the rest of the year, they do many of their subjects together.) Oldest will be studying the pioneer period of American History, so this will cover Geography, History, Literature, and Read Alouds. Middle will be studying the colonial period of American period. They will each do math. Youngest will do some of his Math U See Primer, Read Alouds and some of his own reading, Montessori tray work. We will do some informal Nature Studies.

This year we will be schooling a few subjects over the summer, but not every day of the week. Probably 3 days a week consisting of math, reading, and handwriting. I'd also like to do a low key poetry and art study with some handcrafts thrown in, too. I'm hoping to put the crafts away for Christmas gifts.
