Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I highly recommend the blog "Like Mothers, Like Daughters" by Catholic mom Leila Lawler.

Oh my! I can't believe I've never seen this blog before. I have been reading her archives starting back in Jan '09 and this is exactly the kick in the rear I needed! I feel like she is saying "You know this - you're a smart girl - now go DO it!" It's like she's given me permission to do what I think I should be doing but didn't have the confidence to do. KWIM? Thanks!

I think much of it depends on what type of organizer you are. ....
My solution, ultimately, was to do as much planning electronically as I possibly could. At first I used my husband's PDA hand-me-down, but after switching from a desktop to a laptop and revamping my den, I now have my lists and such on the laptop.

I'd agree. Like Val my planning is all done electronically, mine are all on excel spreadsheets.
Master pantry lists, grocery lists, weekly menu, chore list etc. It has saved me countless hours. Some of these lists end up on the fridge under magnets.

Being a really visual person the other organiser I use is the whiteboard. If I have phone calls to make, extra jobs for the children, items to pack for outings it is all written up there by the door. I am a FAR more organised person since I introduced these two methods.

How well do you like motivated moms? I'm debating buying it but can't decide if we'll actually use it enough.

I bought the 2008 version after mid-year when the price was cut in half. Then I bought 2009 right in January. I really don't feel that I need to continue to purchase it, as nothing changes much year to year, except the dates. I still refer to the pdf file of it on occasion.
