Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Oh, I did want to say that I think the biggest lesson I learned in all of this (what college, if college, etc.) is that we are not in control. Your children will remind you of this - but so will circumstances. I tend to be more of a control freak so this has been a humurous lesson if you are an outsider looking in but sometimes stressful while you are in the midst of it. I'm glad my children have a big sense of humor and can laugh with their mom in her foibles instead of getting mad at me.

I have had to relinquish a lot of my own control (not saying not to do your part - but no matter how carefully everything is considered - things are not always what we think they are - whether it is a Catholic college, a college close to home, an away secular institution, etc.). The important thing is to remember that God is in control and rely on Him no matter what. Pray and trust.

Janet

Isn't it wonderful?! Isn't it true?! Praise God I'm *not* in control. Praise God that he is working for the salvation of all of our family members' souls!

Remind me that I said that, Janet, when the going gets tough and I try to grab back what is rightfully His .

Love,
