Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have that book too, the Praying in Color one.

My doodlers have begun this week to get interested in making comics I print out these free templates from Donna Young and they go to town.

I guess for us the doodling hasn't been an issue bc they usually don't do it on their papers, they've just used nearby paper or scraps.

I was printing out my Open Wednesday sunday reading sheets and was reminded of this thread

They are a good example of effectively blending simple sketches with text (and my children pay much better attention to our preview of the Sunday readings if they can color in the sketches at the same time).

Totally off topic here - but THANK YOU for posting this. I've followed Open Wednedays off and on for years. Then earlier this year the link wouldn't work and google searches kept just taking me back to that old address. I see from your link they have a new url which is slightly different from the old one. A few months ago I even sent out a plea asking if anyone knew what had happened to it. So glad to see it has resurrected at a different url (seems like the least they could do it link it from old url... )

I recently bought this book about doodling as prayer:Praying in Color

I saw this tonight, and it's a great book! Really fun. I was telling LeeAnn tonight that I had that book when I was a teenager!
