My 16 yos chores are more house maintenance type things than household type. My dh is don't home much, so for years the "honey-do list" has been my job, it has been nice to be able to pass much of it on to my 16 hyos. For example, last weekend he cleaned the furnace, scrubbed the filters, shop vac out the registers. This weekend he is stuffing more insulation in the attic rafters and around the foundation in the basement and wrapping the air conditioner for the winter.

The other children need to see that he still has responibilities around the house, and he needs to "pull his weight" but I can't expect him to be able to do the dishes each evening or such.
