I did find this on a website that will help. I printed some of it out Torino 2006 website Lessons
Here is a site with a lot of different activities and websites pertaining to the Olympics, such as one that has the kids making a map, charting the hometowns of the athletes of the USA for Geography (just an example)
Teacher's Corner Olympic sites

Mare and Tracy....thanks!
The website you gave Tracy has the meaning of each of the colored rings in the Olympics logo. It might be a good idea to go over each ideal with the kids every few days and put all 5 rings on the wall during the course of the olympics.

There have been so many *great* resources discussed in this thread, these Olympics crafts are probably superflous , but may be fun for the younger crowd. The torches look yummy !

Rebecca Dussault's husband has been posting an Olympic diary and pictures on their website. Read here about her first race today. She finished as the top US skier.
He also posted the Pope's message to the Bishop of Turin.

Word's getting around......here's another wonderful article about Rebecca, with some great links to Bl. Pier. We are really enjoying learning more about him and having this Catholic connection to the Olympics!

There is also an article in Saturday's Washington Post. Did any of the DC area folks see it? Strong talk of faith in a secular source

I wasn't going to do the Olympic study because I just could't wrap my brain around it and my kids are little young to stay up and watch the limited coverage non-cable channels give and I figured we could really get into future Olympic Games, but.......
I accidently found the Enchanted Learning site and they have quite a bit of stuff for the littles. So, maybe we'll give it a try!
