Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Well after our sweet little baby arrives (it's a GIRL!!!), we are going to dive into Latin this year using Lively Latin. I'm excited about it, because I think it might actually work. We'll see, but it looks like fun with some history and activities to reinforce the Latin learning.

We recently started listening to SOTW #3 also. That seems to be working better than expecting me to sit down and read at the moment or sending the readers off to go it alone. Everyone can listen to a story.

P.S. - I know I've been out of it, but Theresa, when did you guys leave NC for Alaska?!?!

Like Jenny, we are in the middle of ther school year - my new thing has been to simplify my homeschool log/journal. I am using a soft felt covered mauve joural from Borders and just jotting down activities at the end of the day, in stream of consciousness style. No assigning curriculum areas - it feels so freeing and I figure I can put it into subject compartmens at our next Education Dept visit if required.
