Further, at the end of the year, I can save my blog to my computer (I have directions how to do that on blogger if anyone needs them) or even have them bound in one of those "books" someone will print at a cost.

I would love to know how to do this please!

So I have some more Google Calendar questions, can you stand a few?
I'm really trying to see if this can work for us, especially since dh would like to merge our calendars this way. I'm just a paper and pencil type, though...no need to spend more time on the computer, right
Anyway, I am trying to print our calendar so that I can hang it where my usual kitchen calendar is (really my brain!). I can't figure out a "pretty" way to do it. I loved the Universalis calendar merge so I have the Church feast days there, but when it prints, it only prints part of what is said. For example, it says "The Assumption of t" or in smallest type "The Assumption of the Blessed." I want to see it all . Am I asking too much of Google Calendar? I am looking for a nice print-out of our calendar so I can hang a copy. Am I missing some print options?
Thanks!
Christine

I found another thing you can do with the Google Calendar -- put Google Docs attachments on the event.
This is going to be very helpful for me, I think. I wanted a way to put lesson plans on the calendar. So I have been uploading my notes and things to Google and then attaching them to the proper "homeschool" event for the day.
I consolidated blogs and am not keeping a blog just for lesson notes anymore, so this helps me do what I originally blogged for, to keep records in a way that they can be easily referenced.

Here's a funny thing: Colleen sent me her Google calendar for her school schedule so that I could make a PDF of it an upload to Serendipity. She's an hour behind me. Google automatically changed all her CST times to Eastern time when it imported. Pretty smart. Or too smart, depending on how you look at it.
Marilyn, here's a tutorial

Thanks Elizabeth - I will sit down with this and a strong cup of tea and see if I can figure it out.
By the way - how do you make a document a PDF - do you need Acrobat Writer? I tried to figure it out last week and could only find a way through Open Office which I did not want to do.

I have two ways to save as a pdf...
...Choose *save as* under *file* and it is one of my options
...Choose to print and it is one of my options (weird, but it's handy because I can save as a pdf to iphoto from this point and that is handy sometimes.
Most of the time I just choose save as and save it as a pdf file on my desktop.

Jen I wonder if this is only something you can do on a Mac. eg I just looked at one of my word documents that I want to convert to a pdf - but there was no option to save as a pdf?

Unless E has another secret, I find that must be a MAC option. I can only save as PDF in Open Office. Adobe Writer is way too expensive for me.

If you can't SAVE AS........You may also have an option under FILE....."Export as PDF" or something like that.

Yes, it's an Add-In for Word 2007. I see that, now. I am just now getting mine set up.

Christine, at present it looks like there is no word wrap feature. So text that is too long will get cut off as you have found.
From what I read in that link you aren't the only one unhappy with that lack.
Marilyn,
if the tutorial isn't enough perhaps you can ask specific questions on here? The calendar is quite intuitive. If you press on a day you get a pop-up that lets you add an event, and then you can push "edit details" (or something like that) to put in time, place, and other details. I hope this helps, I know that when you have little ones it's hard to do focused work on the computer.

Hmmm, now that makes things tough...
I really don't work well with incomplete things on my calendar.
Thanks and God bless,
Christine
