What ever happened to it? Is it still running? If so, can someone point me in a direction? If not, is there enough interest to revive it?
UPDATE: Info on new carnival here.
Blessings,

It just sort of died! I did sent in a couple of entries but I know the last one never posted because there was no carnival.
I think it would be a great idea to get it up and going again. I have a post right now that I am going to send to the regular homeschool carnival, but it definitely touches on Catholicism and I would much rather send it to a Catholic carnival. I would definitely be interested in reviving it!

I wonder why it died? Was there a lack of interest?
At any rate, I've created a carnival and we'll see how we go!
Renaissance Fair - A Catholic Homeschooling Carnival
Submissions will be due by Sunday night for publication on Wednesday mornings. This should work with my schedule.

Nissa, is there a specific theme for each week, or just Catholic homeschooling in general?

We're very fortunate as Catholics to have our beautifully rich Liturgical year. That should provide ample themed inspiration - at least for the time being. If the popularity of the Carnival demands it, I can further define themes, if needed.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this plays out - it will inspire me to finish my homeschooling weblog upgrade/update.

Is this something open to everyone or just members of the 4Real blogs? I'm a total newbie when it comes to blogs, and I've never heard of a blog carnival before. I'm not sure I'm allowed to join the blog ring here yet anyway...

Carnivals are open to anyone. A weblog carnival, or fair, is a collection of articles on a topic. The carnival host/ess receives links to the entries, reads through them, and organizes them according to her theme for the week (if there is one). She then writes an article that includes references and links to each of the articles submitted to her.
Weblog carnivals provide a place for readers to get lots and lots of inspiration all at once - one stop shopping. It is also a tool for bringing more readers to your weblog.
I hope you will submit an entry!

Maybe I will, nissag! It sounds like tremendous fun. I think I'll just lurk in the first one or so though to get an idea of what to write about.

Here's the graphic for the new Carnival. If you could paste the following code into your weblogs, it will link to the page on my blog that gives a (very) brief description of the fair and a link to the submission forms.
Code to copy and paste:
<a href="http://gadboisfamily.com/renaissance_academy/?page_id= 90"><img src="http://gadboisfamily.com/renaissance_academy/images/ren fair.jpg"></a>
I'm planning on doing monthly fairs initially, until we get up and running. The next (or should I say FIRST) fair will be posted on 7 February (Thursday). Normally, I'd post on a Wednesday, this one is a Holy Day...
Thank you Elena for your submission!

Nissa,
I'm not trying to be dense (I don't have to "try" LOL) but the idea is that we bloggers write a article on a theme and submit the article to you, right? But the actual post is on your blog, not ours? So, for example, I'd write a post or do some ideas up for Lincoln's Day and then send it to you? Or would you write the Lincoln's Day article for that day and just reference me with a link to my post on that topic?
Excuse how utterly LAME my question is. I'm having a brain foggy day.

Maria,
You would write an article on your blog. Then you go to this link and paste your permalink there.
I will get the information about your article in my email. I read through all the entries and write something relevant and interesting (God willing ] with links back to *your* article, and all submitters' articles, from there.
I'm thinking that it might be easier for everyone if I set themes ahead of time? I'll do that for the March issue.
Forgive me if I'm not making any sense whatsoever. I'm foggy today, too.

Can we post after the fact?
We've been doing a weekly coop around the liturgical year, but I usually don't blog it until after we actually do it, complete with pictures of what we did.

Hi Nissa,
I am new to the forum and a month into blogging. I am interested in the Catholic Blog Carnival's and have a question. Can I post the link to your carnival without being a contributor? I think I will be a lurker for a bit until I get the feel for blogging and such.
Blessings,

Hi Kathee,
All you have to do is write a post on your own blog that is related to the theme. Then you send the link by typing or copying it into this form.
Easy peasy!
Blessings,

The Catholic Home Education Fair will be postponed for one week because we're all under the weather here. That gives you one more week to get your entries in!
Remember, our theme is "All Things spring".
