Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Dear friends,
Our oldest son is getting married in Charlottesville in June and we will need somewhere family friendly to stay while we are there. We are trying to avoid a hotel since we would have to get 2 rooms and I don't think my bunch of boys will do well for more than a night or two - we've driven to and from Alaska twice, and I know how they get after a couple of days in a hotel We're hoping to perhaps find someone who will be out of town at that time and would be open to renting their house for a week or so, or something like a short term corporate apartment rental. Or maybe a state park close by with cabins ? Another factor is our daughter is in a wheelchair, so we're trying to avoid a lot of steps. Any information would be helpful .

Blessings,
Kym

Kym,

I just moved away from the Charlottesville area. There is a camp with cabins about 15 minutes west of Charlottesville on Rt 250. Shoot, I can't remember what they're called! Misty Mountain, Magic Mountain, something like that. How can I have forgotten this already???? Let me ask my friends back there and see if they can come up with a phone number, or any other suggestions.

Beautiful place for a wedding! Who is the photographer, if you don't mind my asking? Our dear friend Dave Jones is a wedding photographer there, so I'm just curious to know if he is the one your son is using. What a small world that would be!

Aha! I found it! It *was* Misty Mountain.

Thank you for the Misty Mountain tip, Lissa ! My boys wanted to know if Gandalf would be there

I'll ask my future daughter-in-law about the photographer and let you know -

We visited Charlottesville over Thanksgiving and it was just lovely. So much history everywhere you turn!

Blessings,
