My DH accidentally left out the decimal while bidding on an item. It was a big ticket item (laptop)....so instead of $405.00, his bid was $40,500.

DH sent an email explaining the mistake immediately and the seller understood that no one would pay 40K. Thank goodness because I imagine it could have gotten ugly.

The seller is requesting $30 to relist the auction or negative feedback will be left for DH. It seems like the right thing to do because the mistake does inconvenience the seller.

Chalk it up as a mistake, but it's best to pay or is there another way so neither side will be out $$?
I don't mind paying the $30 AT ALL if there isn't another way because I understand the seller may incur some expense.    Just wondering if there's another way.

My sweetie just paid the $30. Lesson learned.

LOL He was so sheepish to tell me because I suggested there are other ways to spend money (BABY IS COMING! & I want to move back to Vegas. LOL) besides a laptop.
He didn't want the "I told you not to." look.
