Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am so excited!!! I was skimming through the new Ignatius catalog and discovered that Marie Bellet has a new CD. =D>]

Does anyone have it yet? I am interested to know how it compares to her others. She is my favorite.

Is it Lighten Up? It's been out for a few years, and it's really great! I love the title song. If you like the others, you'll like this one!!

No, it is called The New Springtime. It is dedicated to JPII.

I have all three of her other CDs and love each one. I think Ordinary Time is my favorite, but it all depends on my mood.

I think it took about two years of listening to "What I Wanted to Say" before I could get through it without crying. There are still many times it brings me to tears. She has such a gift for capturing this life that we are living.

I haven't hear her new CD but it is on my Christmas list!

You may also like Julie Francis. She has a wonderful song on our Lady of Guadalope. Oh and a beautiful one called "I'll love you forever".

I've enjoyed her other CDs but haven't heard this one yet. The samples are here at her website. I have a slow connection so haven't listened to them yet.

CD description: "Often lighthearted, always thought provoking lyrics describe the details of our modern lives and enkindle hope in new beginnings. Outstanding Nashville musicians cradle Marie's voice in a light mixture of bluegrass, jazz and folk as she reminds us of our capacity to love. A New Springtime is dedicated to John Paul II and the new springtime he foretold."

Looks good!
