Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello!

I have had "earthy" feet forever.......because I like to be barefoot.

I know my girls would be happy to give my feet spa treatments.......since they would prefer I do something about my Hobbit feet

any recommendations on what to do and what products to use?

I would prefer "all-natural" products that are easy to order with my co-op order...but will take all advice.

Thanks!

I second this request! I'm afraid that my feet are an embarrassment to my kids and I have been thinking about how to best treat them after YEARS of neglect.

So funny that you ask! Justlast night I gave myself a homemade pedicure, after being tired of looking at my poor "earthy" feet. I just soaked them for a long time in the hottest water I could stand. I added a little oil to the water (I used almond). Then I used a good foot file that I bought at a "real" spa 2 years ago (but have never used). I filed them while still wet. Then, I used a cheap foot cream (Sally Hanson I think). I'm actually quite pleased with the outcome...although after being outside barefoot so much today, its probably time for another treatment.

I wonder if my girls will want to give me pedicures someday too....what nice daughters you have Chari!

See, I do NOT want to give myself a pedicure, not at all. I am too lazy and it is too uncomfortable to bend over to my feet. I figure if I provide them the stuff.....they will be excited at the challenge to finally get to clean up these feet

my dad has offered for years to take me for a professional pedicure.....but I have never taken him up on it.......wonder why??

Yes, Shawna, you know I have nice girls. I will have them train YOURS to give you pedicures.

The way Amelia is now at three yrs........I expect her to be quite open to the opportunity

night.......

I use bath and body shop's peppermint foot line - they have a great scrub and a fabulous "foot rescue" cream. I love it as I am not a shoe person.
My girls like it too and sometimes we get to have a "foot spa" evening.

Scrub with a salt and olive oil mixture to exfoliate, you can add a little scent (aromatherapy oils) if you'd like or simply slice a lemon or lime in half and use that to scrub the salt and olive oil into your feet. Coat with a deep penetrating lotion (or just more olive oil) and wear cotton socks to bed.
In the morning - gorgeous feet!
(Or at least slightly softened, keep it up if need be)

Walk on the beach barefoot! I've recently been told that it sloughs off the feet and makes them smooth.
