Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Good Evening Ladies,

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Melisa Burke and I am the mother of two children. My husband and I have homeschooled our children from the beginning, which means we are seven years into this. We live on a homestead in Northeast Ohio. I am excited to find this group as Charlotte Mason homeschooling is somewhat new to me, but I have fallen in love with her ideas. Several years ago I read For the Children's Sake and knew that I wanted to incorporate her ideas into our home. However, I have only recently moved toward incorporating them into our homeschooling. My kids are loving the changes that we have made and I look foward to learning from your wisdom.

If any of you live in Northeast Ohio, please speak up. I would love to meet some of you in person.

Melisa

Welcome, Melisa! I'm sure some of our members will be interested in learning about your homestead. How old are your children?

Welcome, Melisa! It's great to see you here! I am quite far from Ohio, but I do hope you will find another "kindred spirit" in your area... we all know this longing.

Welcome Melissa from your corner of the world. I live almost as northeast in Ohio as you can get on a small farm or Zoo as we affectionately call it. I have been homeschooling for about 16 years. The oldest graduates from college this May and our baby of 8 will start 1st grade next year. -Annie
Believe it or not I just pulled out For the children sake a few days ago to reread ...in my spare time

Annie, Thank you for the welcome. Where do you live in Ohio? We also have a small farm about an hour south of Cleveland. You could send me a private message, if you like.
