Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have a question...How can I recommend books from my blog...is there a way I can link up to Amazon for example and get a bit for it if someone purchases the book based on my recommendation? How does something like that actually work?

Brimming with questions and trying to pace myself...lol

Donna Marie, the info you want is in this thread...scroll down a bit, might be on the second page. (I need to split the Amazon posts out into their own thread, just haven't gotten around to it yet.)

Here, I went ahead and found the relevant post:

I have noticed on some people's typepad blogs that the book links they have are linked to Amazon under the ID name of sixapart (the Typepad owners). I noticed because this is one of those things I couldn't figure out how to change until Lissa told me how to do it. If you have Amazon book links and your ID isn't there you aren't getting the referral fees if someone buys the book...Typepad is.

To fix it just go into the Control Panel, click the Profile tab and scroll down to the Miscellaneous Information section and enter your Amazon ID. If you don't have an Amazon ID, get one - those referral fees can add up! But if you don't want to get an Amazon ID, you are certainly welcome to use mine.

To get your Amazon ID, go to Amazon and enroll in their Associates program.

How do I get the picture in there too without all that extra stuff that goes along with it from Amazon? Am I using the wrong type of link? Help!!

bumping this up. I signed up for an associates, I have an id, I use the link they suggest and it's so long. Plus, when I click on the link, I seem to lose the part that has my id. When I look at other links they have the amazon/some stuff here/exec/name of id/link description of book. My links look nothing like that.

What am I doing incorrectly?
