Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I was listening to a programme about school twinning, and I started day-dreaming about home school twinning. There may already be some sort of scheme for this, but I would like to try organising one anyway.

In my head, I am thinking of getting in touch seasonally, sending letters, art, little crafty swaps and that type of thing, and once a year each home school could send their twin some bits and bobs to facilitate sharing a little unit study on some subject near to their hearts or part of their own locality/history/local or favourite authors etc.

Maybe those who would like to be twinned could PM me with their email address, and I would send a little form, and then could match people up? There would be an option to only be twinned within your own country if your prefer, assuming enough people are interested. If you know home schoolers who would like to be twinned but aren't users here, feel free to send me their emails too, as the more people who want to take part, the more fun and diverse it will be.

I feel a bit silly bringing this up but I have been thinking about it for a while and I would love to have our home school twinned with one in another country or another style of doing things. If not enough people are interested, I will let anyone who was know and we can either have triplets or quadruplets or whatever, or try again another year.

I think this is wonderful idea. And since I already have two sets of triplets feel free to triplet me up if necessary. :D.

I think this would be a fantastic opportunity to get to know someone from another country! We'd be interested. I'll pm you.
