Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

If you haven't been over to Aussie Anne's blog in the past few days, you're in for such a fabulous treat when viewing her post on her crafting and sewing of Fr. Oak and his EXQUISITELY designed vestments. Sorry Anne, just had to tell the world here....LOL I couldn't resist telling all what a beautiful job you did, as all the other ladies who have whet the appetite on this terrific idea for the Year of the Priest. God Bless

Thank you for your very kind words.

I have to admit, I happen to be near the BEST discount fabric shop in the world. They have the most unusual bits and pieces in material, ribbon, braid..that's where I first found the 'My Jesus and I" quilting material..it is a shop that buys out material shops that go bust and so everything is increbibly cheap and you'll see things you just mightn't in other normal fabric shops..it's a shop that BURSTS at the seams!

Often these pieces I find, I pick and fish out of a big scraps bin, where they put all their remnants..I am sure that you girls would LOVE this shop, sort of your 'one-shop-stop' for liturgical crafting with material and fabrics!

Oh...I'm drooling just thinking of that shop, Anne!! What a delight!!!!!!

Father Pine did come out so lovely! You're so very talented, Anne! What I didn't realize before reading your post is that you don't sew!!!! Did I say this already on your blog or on the other thread...I looked...I said it on the other thread! Really, this is such an inspiration for others who don't sew to try this project! Look what you've done with a few scraps and glue!!

You're fantastic, Anne! And, we're so lucky to benefit from your creative examples!!!

After your post Anne I walked into my fabric shop determined to finish my chasubles; they still need ribbon. I walked out in disappointment as they had nothing like your shop. See I should have finished before seeing yours, now nothing less will do.
