Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I finally broke down and bought a pair of Crocs over the weekend. They are so comforatble. I truly feel like I am walking on air. My dd10 at first look asked me not to leave the house in them, as did Dh . However, after my dd10 slipped them on and gave them a spin she is clamoring for a pair. They may not be shoes with laces as Flylady demands but my feet feel good at the end of the day!

My 10 yr. old daughter got her first pair for Christmas - has been begging for a year since all her friends have them. They are so popular here in Colorado that people don't generally make any negative comments about them (not wearing in public, etc.) We find that in many parts of the country people still haven't heard of them - I see they are spreading though.

They're very European-ish. I have a pair of similar clogs from Hofer in Austria (Aldi here in the States) which cost less than 5 Euro and are very comfy. But it took a while for my kids to allow me to wear them outside the house when we moved back to SC

ROFL! My feet are killing me and so I followed Mary Chris' link to the "Cayman" style. Then I clicked on the "Beach" style and said out loud, "I don't see the difference in that style and the other one..."

Nicholas was watching and declared emphatically "THAT's not style!"

Anything for comfort...

Aren't these the clogs Mario Batali wears on the Food Network?

I would have to agree with Nicholas. Aren't these like wearing plastic?

Elizabeth, I have chronic feet problems and marched over the The Walking Co when I was pregnant. They really fit you in the right shoes...tell them wear it hurts, they will recommend you buying a size up.

I have arch problems, so cork beds is the way I have to go. But the one thing that did not hurt during that pregnancy was my feet after buying a few pairs of Euro-Comfort shoes. The Dulles Town Center is near you....make a little trip!

If you don't go there, find stores that sell the Euro-comfort that orthopedists work with...I'm trying to remember some of the other names. The key is getting the right fit and shoe for your needs.

Forgot to mention I've never gone back to regular shoes...I am addicted to "Euro Comfort" shoes. The only exception are dress shoes and are my feet miserable on those special occasions! I'm about to eliminate those, too!
