Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I have started getting a bunch of those crazy emails asking me to send money with the promise of splitting inheritances and the such. I know I have heard about these scams on the news and such. Do I just delete them or am I suppose to report them to someone??? And who in the world do you report them to??

MC I get so much junk mail. I have no idea what the right answer is. I have a msn account and there's a button on hotmail that says "report as junk"... and that's what I hit. I have no idea if they do anything with it... because I still have junk galore in my boxes.

Well, in my previous life (pre-marriage) I investigated these scams and my husband did also. I don't know if the solicitation is a crime in and of itself. It's once money starts changing hands that they can be charged with bank fraud, wire fraud or mail fraud. If you're really concerned contact the Secret Service, FBI, maybe Postal Inspection or even a local law enforcement agency. Unfortunately, it's so common they really can only move forward on frauds with large amounts of money. Even then, so many of these people are in other countries and it makes prosecution difficult.
