Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Laura,
Except for this weekend at the camp with my 17-yr-old niece and one television with absolutely no cable, no satelitte feed, no nothing (not even an antennae) but, yes, ONE DVD player , I would not have known what you were talking about.

I didn't watch the finale but I did get to watch the first season.

Yes, we saw it! We are so addicted to this show although we never watched it until we moved here. Now dh has set it up to record every week so we never miss it! I think we have seen every show now except the first show of this season.

Did you like the conclusion?

Hey, wait -- it wasn't on Sci-Fi this Friday in the States! We're still back a couple of episodes from season's end. How are y'all seeing the finale already???

My dh and ds10 are suffering from severe Dr. Who depression that this is the end. Dh asked if he could buy Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD to entertain them after the finale. I don't know how, but they watch it on the computer on a BBC site I think, much earlier than when it comes on Sci-Fi.

Well, Carole is in Wales, so she got to watch it on TV.

But.....you can go to "Surf the Channel" and there are TONS of TV shows.

Also - You Tube will have them.

However, I use a bit torrent site. (Did you hear the mention of "Mad Martha" - in the Adipose episode, that Donna says at the end? That was a reference to the person on Bit Torrent who posts the torrents.)

Sci-Fi channel cuts out parts of every episode. Sometimes important parts. They really chopped up the Master Season Finale last year.

Yep, we saw it... Laura's right...sci-fi slices and dices. It's best to find a UK source for the torrent.

Our two "campers" are trying to figure out how to see it without dh's technical help. I think Libby got it, but Trip is having a hard time convincing the counselors that he needs access to the internet .

Great ending, BTW !

Okay, it has aired on Sci-fi. So now we can discuss it!

I am still teary eyed. Which is weird as I rarely cry. Poor Doctor, poor Donna

I'm DYING over here! And it gets worse--there won't be a new season of Doctor Who for another year!! David Tennant is playing Hamlet in the Royal Shakespeare Company at Stratford-on-Avon for a year, so no new season. There will be 3 long episodes, like the Christmas special this year instead. I can't stand it!!! I need to watch the finale again, (since it's been a month or so now ) to get my fix.

What? I had not heard that news. Although I do believe he could be a great Hamlet ... we will see if we can get tickets. Maybe that will be my fix.

That is such sad news! I mean, happy for Tennant, but goodness, what a blow! Dh grew up watching some of the Tom Baker years with his older brothers. Its so funny when he fills me in what I've missed!
