Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am interested in knowing how your parish is assigning tickets. Also what is the policy on nursing babies - do they count as a ticket? We would love to go- but 7 tickets is probably going to be impossible. We have family who may donate us their tickets - but our parish will not let this be done.

Our parish is having a lottery. They haven't specified what they'll do about families. I'm not sure I'd take a ticket for myself even if I won one because my 17mo can't sit through stuff and it probably wouldn't be fair to others. I do hope my husband and son get to go, though.

Our parish is doing a lottery as well. But the date for submitting your name was Saturday, so my DH and I missed it. It would be wonderful to have the family go, but it is going to be a very long day, so I figured that it would just be one of us going, with no kids.

Our pastor said that tickets were non-transferrable because they have quite a bit of security for the Mass. There has to be background checks on everyone who gets a ticket, which is why the date was set so early to sign up.

My DH wishes they chose a larger location, so more people could come. It does seem a little odd that they wouldn't do it at the Mall in DC like JPII did, or some larger stadium. I am sure it will be an amazing experience!

It's a lottery at the parish we attend. I don't know what the deadline is/was; hasn't been a priority in our recent illness. My husband thinks it is limited to two tickets per family. If the tickets are non-transferrable, forget it -- the chances of us being able to get suitable and affordable babysitters during the event are so small that I had had a high expectation of donating any tickets we'd happened to win.
