Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I just saw the lovliness of autumn post and thought " autumn ? " who's in autumn
We've been having an actual real old fashioned winter compared to the last two yrs . it is wonderful , just oodles of snow , cold , bright and crisp
The kids love it the nieghbor is aying ds to shovel while she is away . Dad has started the rink which he couldn't make the last two yrs as it kept melting .
Today was our last swim lesson for fall session and it was blizzard outside I love it as traffic slows down and everyone in general slows down .More to my pace for a change
Our little sparrows are having fun in the snow too aside from the pesky squirell that keeps jumping at them
My sil just sent out a winter solstice invite so we are for sure in winter here .
I osted some pics of dh starting the rink will ost more when kids are actually skating on it

Well I'm in the first week of summer. So I'm neither But then I'm in Australia.

I was trying to work out why Jan Brett the other day, why she is so recommended for Christmas and then it dawned on me, its all that snow. It is snowing over there!

Here I am deep in the middle of swimming training and summer rains and planning Christmas at the beach and my American friends are snuggling by the fire

Here in Arizona, it's 78 degrees.

Shorts for Christmas? And a bar-b-que?

I think we are in winter now; we are expecting a few flurries tomorrow. We've had cold, howling wind for 2 days. Ds is depressed, as we filled 10 contractor-size garbage bags with leaves Saturday...and you can't tell now.

Here in MD, at the first prediction of snow (and every one thereafter), everyone races to the grocery store for bread, milk, and necessary paper products. It's pretty funny...except that I needed all of the above, by coincidence.

It's the same here in southwest OH! I needed to get some items at the grocery store that DH wasn't able to get at Sam's Club, and I was amazed at the amount of people in the store at the middle of the day! Then I remembered the prediction for snow.

And the prediction was correct. The local school has a 2-hour delay right now with very fine snow falling. So, I guess we're in winter. I'll admit, it's making me get into the Christmas spirit a little...we'll be pulling out the Advent box and St. Nicholas stuff (that's my first step in decorating) today.

Here in NEPA it is winter. It has been cold all week with temps not getting out of the 20s (I think our highs should be in low 40s or high 30s now) and snow/snow flurries everyday. I love this, except the heat bill that comes with it

It's late summer here!      It was in the low 80s today. The mornings are cool, but it was really warm today.

Last Friday I hung up some artificial evergreen swags around my front door. On Saturday they were blown off by the strong winds. I've put them up again - this time with white duct tape. I hope it holds. The public schools were closed in our city on Monday. We got ice. It's winter here in MA!

Late autumn here ... damp, windy, still a few leaves on the ground, temperatures in the 50s. Sliding into winter that will probably look much the same - damp, muddy, temperatures in the 40s.

We had a cold snap with a few frosts in November. According to an old rhyme of my dad's "If November ice will bear a duck, all the rest is mud and muck" ... so a muddy winter definitely looks on the cards. Clean, crisp snow sounds so appealing!
