Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

A friend sent me the link to this survey. It is a survey of guys, ages 12 and up, on modesty. It is really quite interesting to get the male perspective. I think it can be especially useful to discuss with our daughters how Christian guys view modesty.

Take a look!

I'm glad you posted it, Molly. I didn't think about that when I received the survey.

Oh my goodness- these poor guys, especially the teen age boys! Some of their responses are just too funny (even though I fully realize they are not meant to be). Ex: the poor 15 yr old who wrote about fish net stockings (I think it was): AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I'm laughing, but it's also making me realize what a struggle it is for boys and men to see women immodestly dressed. I know that it distracts me to see a girl in a strapless dress or microskirt in church on Sunday- now I am realizing how extremely disruptive it is for all the males. Reading what they have to say has been an eye-opener for me.
