I've been sending this out to everyone so please take a look. This is for prayer for the upcoming 2008 elections. Please join and please invite others by forwarding it on!

Dear Prayer Warrior Friends,

I am simply a homeschooling Mom and I have been praying about this for over six months. Since prayer is never out of the will of God I am forging ahead to organize what I have felt led to do since last year. decadesfor2008@yahoo.com

Most anyone can pray one decade of the rosary a day, for example while your folding clothes, or washing the dishes or scrubbing the toliet or even driving in your car. There is time for at least one decade a day apart from your family's daily Rosary. Because of this simplicity and in the spirit of the Universal Living Rosary tradition I am writing to all of you to ask you to take on one decade a day to pray for God's Holy will concerning the 2008 elections. Of course the presidential election is uppermost in my mind but there are many other offices that are open. Let's unite and start praying for God to raise up candidates and make clear the candidates of His choice, supplying what each candidate that HE chooses needs for campaigning and eventual election. Also remember to give Thanks for the priviledge to participate in electing new government officials through our prayers!! We are very blessed to live in the USA but we do need to pray, pray pray! This is what we are going to do:

1) Email me at decadesfor2008@yahoo.com if you want to be assigned a decade. I will give each person that asks an assigned decade until I fill up one Rosary. Then I will go on to fill up rosaries until all that want a decade have one assigned. Very much like the Universal Living Rosary. Please if you have a decade from the Universal Living Rosary Association continue to pray it. The decade that I will send you is not intended to substitue for your Universal Living Rosary Association decade. You will be committing to pray both. I have a Universal Living Rosary decade and will also take a decade for our Rosary for 2008 Elections. and will commit to praying each of them everyday. decadesfor2008@yahoo.com

2) There is no penatly of sin if you forget!! These rosary decades are taken on voluntarily for unity in prayer. Something simple and that will make it easier for each of us to fit into our days. And because it will be the same decade throughout the year until after the elections in 2008 are final it will make it easier to remember also. decadesfor2008@yahoo.com

3) Please help me to get the word out about this campaign of prayer. If you could ask your priest or if you are one of the priests whose email this has come to, please could you include the following in your parish bulletin?
I hope that you will find it acceptable and can include it in the bulletin. It is not necessary and actually preferable to me to remain anonymous, only known as "The organizer". This prayer campaign is not to promote anything but prayer for the upcoming elections.

DECADES FOR 2008
Many are concerned about the upcoming 2008 elections and the impact they
will have on the future of our country. We want to seek through prayer to unite
ourselves first in the prayers and most importantly with the will of God for
the outcome of the elections. Seeking His will for the choice of candidates
for all elected offices from President on down, that will be decided in the
2008 elections, to pray also for the needs of the candidates that they will be
given what they need for their campaigns and for the eventual election to
these government offices. In the tradition of the Universal Living Rosary, each
person who chooses to join this prayer campaign (children included) and receive their daily
decade can send an email to: decadesfor2008@yahoo.com Please include your name
and email address. You will receive by email your assigned decade which you
should start saying the day you are assigned it and pray it until after the
elections in November 2008 are final. You may also request decades for those who do not have access to email. Simply send their name(s) and I will assign the decade and send it to you. You then can let them know their decade and to begin praying the day they receive it.

That's it! It's simple and prayer is very much needed. This unifies us both in the fact that we will be united with the others who fill out each rosary and united with everyone else in the common intentions.

That's wonderful! Please go to decadesfor2008@yahoo.com and please put your name and email address in the body of your note to me. I will then assign you a decade and send it back to you. All the instructions will be in the email.
I just pray that there will be many more join us!
