Just wanted to share my excitement with all of you! Today I am packing our family to head to Annapolis to see my son for Plebe Parents Weekend at the Naval Academy. I AM SO EXCITED! He has been away since June 27th with little contact with us - 3 four minute phone calls and a few letters. I can't remember being this excited for anything ... maybe his birth! We will have 3 days with him ... no overnights, but three days to just be with him, talk and ask all the questions I have been dying to ask about his experience. Also we will celebrate his 18th birthday, which was on August 5th. And 3 days to celebrate his accomplishment of surviving Plebe Summer! I CAN'T WAIT!!

Oh Maria, that message was enough to get me back on the boards! (I've been lurking on and off since leaving Belgium almost 3 mos ago.) I'm all teary here, just picturing your beautiful son and family being back together again for a few days. How wonderful for all of you!
