Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

This time last week our family attended the biggest Medieval Festival in the Southern Hemisphere (that sounds impressive but the Sth is obviously not THAT big) still it is a fabulous 'aussie' Medieval festival and here are some pictures:

I absolutely loved looking at your lovely photos. What sweet children you have! I have two St. George loving boys 5 and 7. They would have loved to have been there! Thank you for posting this.

Oh, very neat! Do you know, are the medieval re-enacters part of the Society for Creative Anachronism? We play with them here and it is so fun...

That group definately rang a bell Laura. I checked the Abbey's website and here is the listing of all the re-enactor groups and the Soceity for Creative Anochronism is one of them, here is their link on the site.

Yes, it certainly looks like they have fun and it is great to see them strive for authenticity in everything they do and wear etc...
