We have had glorious weather here for the most part. Anywhere from sunny low 70's to cool, wet low 50's. A great escape from the worst of summer weather back home. I imagine it will be quite a shock to the system to arrive back in NC in early august and face that heat again!
And if anyone was ever wondering if an Alaskan vacation is worth it, I encourage you to go for it if you can! You will not regret it!

What beautiful pictures and what a beautiful place to be! My ds (only 13) has decided that he is going to move to Alaska when he is older. We have df's whose son homesteads there. He's working on his doctorate in forestry and is currently studying a bird called the "golden eye" (?). Anyway, he occassionally emails my ds. I hate the thought of him moving so far away someday, but then, there's always the opportunity to go visit him if he really does. Thanks for posting such beautiful pictures!
