Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I am desperatly looking for a dress for my 12 year old daughter to wear to her sister's clothing day. Problem is we can't find anything her size!!! Yesterday my dh (what a saint, doing all that shopping) and I searched the whole Kansas city area looking for a dress. She would be about a size 18 or 20 girls because she is tall for her age. She wants something that looks dressy and girly (like bonnie jean and those) I have searched everywhere and even on line does anyone have an idea or knows of a website I might be missing that sells girls clothes in these sizes.

Thanks! God bless,

Its expensive but have you looked at Land's end? They usually have Easter/spring dresses and I know they have those sizes. Some Sears carry Lands end.

Jackie,

I read the most recent newsletter from the Benedictines. I saw the news about your daughters clothing. HOw exciting! My dd, who is almost 17 is going to visit them in June so she will meet your daughter.

Cinnamon Girl

In Hawaii I bought dresses there and have a friend who bought Easter dresses for her 5 daughters there. They are femenine, which I love, and the women's sizes start really small since there are so many Asian women there. I have 2 Mandys which have a real neckline , and wear them with lightweight cardigans. It's an idea. I don't know if they'll be something your daughter likes, and they are $$.

My daughter is 12 and we've moved into the Juniors department now. I fit into the Children's clothes better than she does now! I think if you look for retro style clothes you'd find something appropriate, think Jackie O's little dresses with the straight across shoulder to shoulder neckline. A very classy look that is really popular right now (meaning they might be in the stores).

If you are willing to do used, I've heard this is a pretty decent Thrift Store, Turnstyles, 100% of all net proceeds go to Catholic Charities, if you can make it out to Overland Park.

We have a skirt, now we need a dressy top/blouse for Easter and confirmation. We really like the CInnamon Girl stuff but need a solid blouse and the dresses would need an additional sweater.

The skirt is actually a twice handed down skirt that came home from college with DD#1--some juniors 0's might work if you look for a skirt.
Dresses are always too big in the middle and top if they fit the length.

DD#3 is my 3rd and this inbetween age is tough.
